Recipe Review: Caesar Salad Supreme

There are very few people out there who do not like Caesar Salad. It is generally the "go to" salad for a lot of people- the creamy dressing, the croutons- all of it together is absolutely delicious. Usually when I want to make Caesar Salad at home I purchase the packaged salad kits. These are good, but they don't have the pazzaz of a homemade or restaurant made dressing... they also seem to be lacking in the garlic department!!!!! When I found this recipe for Caesar Salad Supreme on allrecipes.com I just had to try it.

I have to admit, I was a bit lazy and didn't make the croutons, although I really wish I had- they sound divine! The croutons start with sauteeing garlic in a pan and then throwing in the pieces of bread. For garlic lovers this is heaven! I will definitely have to try these croutons next time I make this salad.

The dressing was amazing! We cut back on the amount of anchovy we put in (only because my husband turned his nose up at the anchovies and wanted me to take them out entirely- HOW CAN YOU HAVE CAESAR SALAD WITHOUT ANCHOVIES?!). We compromised and I only put in 3 (okay 4) anchovies in. It still tasted delicious. All of the flavours meld together beautifully and result in an absolutely tasty Caesar dressing. It was really easy to make too- everything is just stirred together in a bowl, chilled and served. I will definitely be using this dressing from now on instead of the store bought stuff. I really like that I can adjust the amount of garlic and anchovy I put in.

I highly recommend this recipe to anyone who likes Caesar Salad!

Overall I give this recipe:
5 out of 5 forks!

The recipe was easy to follow and resulted in an awesome tasting salad dressing- following the recipe  exactly would probably result in an even tastier dressing!
